I agree. though it will be very close.

Do you prefer a super majority?
I really don't care either way. Sure, I'd like to have 60 votes instead of 59, just as I'd like to have 59 votes instead of 58, or 58 votes instead of 57. Not because it's going to prevent filibusters, but just because it's easier to get 51 "yes" votes on various bills. Getting to 60 votes isn't going to be a game-changer.

I'd be perfectly happy with 58 or 59 votes too.

Preventing filibusters is what the Dems want, that's how they stalled Bush'[s nominations. And we wouldn't want that for Obama, right?

Sorry, but if "undervotes" (people who didn't vote for anyone for Senate) were filled in for one or other of the candidates, the process you describe will not detect it. This disturbs me, no matter which side is the beneficiary. I want to see the final statistic for those counties that were revised upward for Franken... were their undervotes vastly 'lower' than for counties which were not.

Not that it would prove anything, nor do I think anything could be done. But, it is very disturbing that it could happen.

Before we are Democrats or Republicans, we must be patriots. And patriots want clean elections, period.

So you automatically assume this is what is happening? If this was happening with a Republican candidate favoring the vote, you would be calling the Dems that are saying this as conspiracy theorists.

Firstly, I believe that Republicans stole the vote in Florida,
Secondly, that Strict Constructionists on the Supreme Court, if they'd had any integrity to their jurisprudence would have stayed out of Florida's process for selecting their Electors
Thirdly, That Republicans may have stolen the election AGAIN in Ohio in 2004
Fourthly, I am NOT assuming anything. I am pissed off that we might not KNOW if that is what happened, and I think that is bad, especially if the statistics point toward fraud. Ugh!!
Fifthly, I AM a Democrat, you, you.... arrrrgh I want to call you a name. I am just fair minded, and I AM a patriot over a partisan. Go look at my posts over the past years here. On policy, I am a Democrat, for the most part. Economically, I am very spread the wealth around and Death Tax liberal; Socially, I am hyper have at it like its nobody's business liberal; With Law and order, I am a mixed bag (anti death penalty, pro insanity defense, anti 2nd amendment violating gun law); I love the ACLU woohoo!!!
Sixthly, I am ironically a little happy that Democrats might have done something like this, so that the Republicans will hopefully finally get behind some REAL election reform.

Jeeesh

The right wrote the book? That's the funniest thing I've read in weeks.

I have one word for you - Chicago. I hate it when pesky things like facts get in the way of your asinine arguments.

No one has ever alleged that Republicans have registered illegals, the dead and felons as voters for an election. If only half of that is true, it still says a lot about Democrats.

Yeah, in the 2004 gubernatorial election for Washington state Chris Greguire allgedly won with votes from Convicted felons, the deceased, family pets, and illegal immigrants.....

She won the 2004 election by less than 150 votes.

Re: Obama/Franken voter fraud recount

If you don't know the Republicans have been stealing elections for years, you're brain dead.

If you hear anything that suggests the Democrats are doing it, you can bet it was set up by the Republicans. Don't forget--this is the party of Rovean politics and dirty tricks.

Re: Obama/Franken voter fraud recount

PerryLogan, refer to my reference of Christine Gregoire in 2004.

Obviously just because I am able to cite one example of a democrate doing so doesnt mean the entire party is corrupt. But the same goes for the Republicans.

By the way, are YOU the one in that video? Are YOU really Perry Logan? Because if so, I..... wow. I honestly don't know what to say.
