There are more democrats in America than republicans (registered). If the split was 50/50 the poll would be flawed

Who is arguing 50/50?

Well?

The point is that even in the Democrats best year since 1974 (2006), the spread between Dems and Republicans was less than 5% (I have posted the data here before showing this).

In these popular polls we see spreads approaching 15+%. That is absurd.

Pay attention.

Actually, that is not absurd in the least. Not after the Republicans ran America into the ground under Bush. It happens. Look at party identification after Carter messed up the country. Same thing in the opposite direction. Simply put, some Republicans bolted the party, and for damn good reason too.
