I have always thought that 'Glabal Warming' was merely to allow for Tax increases as well as permitting people like Al Gore to become even wealthier than they already are.
It is quite true that the Northern Arctic Ice Cap is receding as well as Glacial melts throughout the World, but how much of this is due to the actions of mankind as opposed to a natural cycle is debatable.
For myself the increase in Vulcanism seems to be a far greater cause of events as opposed to whatever man does.
This is not meant to say that Mankind's actions are not causing a detrimental effect on our planet.
In my mind the actions of Mankind have been poisoning the Planet for hundreds of years.
Already vast swathes of our Oceans are undergoing animal destruction the like of which has not been detected since the die out of the Dinosaurs, eventually this die out will affect us to the point where, if nothing is done, we shall go the way they went.
Simply because we poison the food chain.

Yeah, thank God the truth is becoming more obvious. I'm sure we'll hear this guy is an idiot and all those scientist listed are on the payroll of Exxon, but we know what bs that is.

No, but I think his trendline is a bit dubious. The same data set, with a 5-year and 10-year moving average, even a linear trendline, clearly paint a different picture.

During my recent debate with jfuh my research led me to discover three pertinent classes of scientists that I believe should lead one to question AGW as a consensual, non-debatable fact:
(1) Knowledgeable scientists, seemingly dedicated, whose studies have questioned IPCC assertions about AGW and in some cases have suffered economic loss from not "knuckling under" to politically correct views. The AGW Kool Aid drinkers' assertion of "oil company funding" is either total crap with these scientists or not substantial when compared to the loss of government grants.
(2) Extremely competent scientists, leaders in their fields, who either initially disagreed with the IPCC findings of AGW or later came to those conclusions after giving the IPCC their chance to prove the AGW point.
(3) Scientists who participated in the IPCC review process and have broken ranks with the IPCC after observing their tactics over a period of years. These numbers are growing and should be especially alarming to objective AGW believers.

I hope to dig up more info on this as time permits. Of course, some choose to stick their heads in the sand!
