Stubble's only prickly for the first couple of days; after that, it's soft.
Some people- especially guys- have nasty coarse pubic hair that is prickly no matter what they do with it.
My problem with the daily shaving idea is that 1. sex is not fun the first day after shaving; the freshly shaved skin gets irritated and rashy, and 2. I guess I'm just lazy. I shave my pubies about as often as I shave my armpits, which is maybe once a month or so, maybe even longer; the rest of the time, my body hair is in various stages of "growing out". When it really starts to bother me, I shave it again.
Luckily, my husband has the same philosophy toward his pubies, so I guess we're well-matched.

I personally like stubble; I just like the way it feels, either on somebody's head or on their nether regions.

I used to know a girl who bleached her pubies- platinum, to match her hair (also bleached). I thought that was kind of weird.

Pussy stubble is horrifying because when i go down on a girl, I don't want stubbleburn. It's really not comfortable. By the same token, when my girlfriend was against me growing out my beard, I thought she had a valid point.

Most girls should just let it grow.I dont like it shaved so trim it if its crazy overgrown otherwise just leave it.
