Yayasmom. Hope I didn't make you less likable to some posters because I thanked you again. What I think is really interesting about this thread is that there have been very few contributions that use facts to defend the Democrats' large role in the present financial state we find our selves in. The liberal response to the 2 very well done videos at the beginning of this thread seem to be more focused on my use of the term "bedwetting liberal" (my harmless attempt at humor) and my opinion that welfare recipients usually don't work! LOOK AT THE DAMN VIDEO, LIBERALS! Those familiar faces who are shown years ago denying the possibility of financial peril from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are liberal Democrats. Most of those political figures who have gained the most from excessive Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac profits are Democratic party members! Check it out!

It's okay. When I thanked you it was for asking folks if they bothered looking at the video. I assumed the whole "bedwetting" thing was silly banter. I'm not wildly popular here anyway, so I don't think you can hurt my rep.

Possibly, but it does cast doubt on the claim that all of them are all lying around
doing nothing. Furthermore the large number of people on EITC show that many on welfare are indeed working. You can't get EITC without working.

I'm not sure that's accurate. The article you cited is from 2002. In September 2003, the Bush administration recommended significant regulatory overhaul.
And yet in 2004 the GOP and Bush pushed for even more reductions in down payments and for less then stable income loans. I cited the Whitehouse's webpage. What else do you want?

Are you okay with 1/2 of those receiving welfare not working or even trying to better their education?

I have to go back and see the other link you referenced.

I am missing the Whitehouse's webpage from 2004. What I am seeing is from June, 2002.

Yes, I would like to see where Bush wanted more risky loans.

There are two links.

Oh wait. Whoopsies.

That covers both 2002 and 2004.

More interesting, Mr. Bovard predicted this crap in 2005.
