Anybody who was a politician for thirty years and didn't drink would be crazy or dead by now.

Those in DC circles have come to accept Joe Bidden's gaffs as just that. They accept that this guy has diarreah of the mouth at times, but still acknowledge that his "message" carries merit. Still, for this election year I'd much rather he gave clear thought before he spoke. In such a short time since the DNC, his gaffs are getting as bad as those of Al Gore when he was VP.
