Operation Chaos II???
I know this is far-fetched and not a legitimate source of news, but it pretty much explains the scenario so I linked it.

Gee, this sounds like one of those tricks, that Hannity accuses the Dems of pulling, when they're feeling drastic. Except this time it's Hannity himself puling the stunt.

It would be suicide for Obama to dump Biden and pick up a different VP, even if it is Hillary Clinton. Switching a vice president mid campaign has happened before, but never with good results.
If he does switch, it will only be perceived as flinching in the face of Sarah Palin's force and would only serve to bolster confidence in the Republican ticket. Who would vote for a president that can't even decide on who to make his second in command? |

It wouldn't go down like that, though. It would be more like Biden is absent from public for a while, then "reveals" he has X health problem and can't continue, at which point Obama would regretfully accept his request to withdraw, thank him for all his great contributions to the campaign, and then appoint Hillary to the position.
(At which point I'd hope Hillary would spit in his face and say "see you in 2012, loser.") I doubt it'll happen, but as weird as this whole campaign season has been, who knows? |
