But if you are earning over 250k per year then you are already making more than 95% of Americans. That is far far beyond "MIDDLE".

It matters because you have absolutely no independent knowledge as to whether it's accurate or not. The fact that it matches "what you've heard" doesn't mean anything.

Very interesting, I haven't seen anything however to show that this calculation is crap though. Anyone yet been able to "debunk" it? I do question it's validity and authenticity as being "non-partisan".

After checking a modest figure (this was not my figure) of 125,000 dollars for a single person with no dependents, it gave this:

Your Obama Tax Cut is: You will probably not get an Obama Tax Cut

I believe something is amiss with the calculator. We are in the elderly married category and the tax cuts shown for various income levels are really screwy. The greatest cut is for a couple making $200K - a level that is clearly above middle class retirement income.

This is strange.

I can't find this calculator on the Tax Policy Center's website. That is suspect. Highly.

But they do have a 45 page paper on the tax policies of both candidates.

I entered in 15,000 dollars as annual income, and I would get a bigger check from the govt in that situation, of 900 dollars more.
