When you take the test, be sure there are no distractions--no children, friends, spouse, ringing phones, radios or TV's. You are by yourself with your computer.

Now everybody do the test, up to 5 times. Click on the following site:

Click on "TA3 our most difficult IQ test." Then click "begin test" and then "begin."

Then post your scores. Please be honest.

Those who have taken a standard test can compare their scores with this one.

An internet IQ test. Which purports to determine one's intelligence quotient based upon one's ability to answer a bunch of cultural trivia questions correctly.
Slight problem here. You don't have to be a genius to figure out what it is.
One can look up the answers to these trivia questions long before the timer runs out. Ergo, the "International High IQ Society" is worthless and so is this silly test.
Anyone with half a brain ought to know that ability to answer pop culture trivia questions has nothing to do with intellect, only with exposure.

I didn't bother to finish the silly thing.

I expected the which symbol comes next questions, but what in the world does knowing where such and such obscure mountain peak have to do with IQ?

Yeah. This test was rot. But like I've said before, I've had the real testing done through the school district and they too do have a section where they ask you some real crap questions.

Questions that are more proof of what you've been exposed to vs. your capacity to think, reason. I recall vocab questions, literary analogies, and questions about how far is it from this city to that city.

Obviously IQ tests haven't resolved the "class" issue and kids who are more enriched are prone to do better.

I guess the moral is enrich your kids so they do well on this bull****.

Well, IQ tests aren't that important. Make sure they work hard in school and learn the bull**** and they'll do good on the SAT and then they'll be on the fast track.

I don't think that test is reliable. I'm not used to IQ tests but I don't think that score is normal

Now for all of you. I know this is not a "proper" test, just a fun test that doesn't waste several hours of your time. However, if you don't cheat, it should give you at least a rough approximation of your IQ. Remember, in my post, I asked for people who had taken a standardized test to take this one and compare AND post their scores. So far, not even one person has done that.

One thing I wanted to find out is just how inaccurate the internet IQ tests are. To do that requires a reasonably large sample. I'm guessing that most of them are pretty crappy, but there might be a few that could compare with standardized tests. I would like to know about those.

The high IQ society, like MENSA, probably has a serious test for people who want to become members. However, I haven't checked it out.

I do know that MENSA is legitimate, and they have an standardized test for you to take if you want to spend the time and trouble. If any of you take it, please post your scores on this thread.
