He said Bill Clinton was one of the smartest men he'd ever met, and that as a President he asked questions and knew facts and figures other Presidents didn't. He felt intellectually engaged by Bill like no other president. And I agree with him. I watched him campaign for Hillary on the campaign trail on CSPAN. He never needed a teleprompter, never needed notes, and he'd stand up there and just rattle off an impressive survey of world and domestic affairs, statistics and all. With perfect charm and leadership. I'll take that any day over McCain.
Amen....as a moderate, I am not afraid of democrats, unless they are too liberal. I am upset with the sense of entitlement that some politicians display. IF they are smart and want what is good for the country, and have decades of service, then they are justified in feeling "entitled". If all they have is decades of service, but are basically stupid, no, they should stand back and let the white house be occupied by someone with brains.

It comes down to the difference between 30 years of experience or 1 year 30 times.

I see Obama as a man with just one year experience, but McCain as a man with 1 year experience 30 times. So they are on equal footing when it comes to "experience"....but one is slower at learning and will not likely have what it takes to move us forward.

The saving grace is that he will likely pick Romney as VP. Romney is one of the smartest guys out there on the economy.

Compared to McCain...
Romney is not only smarter, but taller, younger, more hair, better looking, less ethically challenged, less morally challenged, less prone to temper tantrums.

McCain will easily carry Utah, so my vote for him is basically not needed....
I may just stay home this time around.

your joking right? given his policies are not much different than mccain, perhaps his stance on evil black rifles would have you reconsider.

You're joking right? McCain's policies are far different from Clinton, and on the intellectual level McCain is not in the same ballpark.

Re: Bill Clinton's speech was amazing, IMO!

Clinton, Rhodes scholar.
McCain, got into the USNA on a daddyship, barely graduated, came close to being kicked out and probably would have had it not been for daddy and granddaddy being admirals....

I am not sure if McCain is less intellectually gifted, or just more lazy gifted.
Either way, either of the 2 Clintons are much more educated, smart, etc. than McCain could ever be.

If only my time machine wasn't down for maintenance, I would go back and convince both Clintons to become Republicans....

!
My neighbor, in his 80's, tells me funny stories about some of the idiot savants that the govt. hired at Las Alamos back in the days after World War 2. Some of those guys were incredibly smart in math and science, but could barely tie their own shoes...
