Not at all, but it's simply not correct that he's the most liberal member of the Senate. In terms of ideology, he's more in the middle of the Democratic Party. Anyone who thinks he's more liberal than Bernie Sanders or Russ Feingold simply hasn't been following politics very closely.

Look at some of the votes that the National Journal uses to determine how "liberal" or "conservative" a senator is, then tell me that their methodology is valid.

For example, one of the votes they use is "Establish a Senate Office of Public Integrity to handle ethics complaints against senators." Is that a liberal or conservative position?
