It has no relevance because the guy is running for the highest elected office in the United States.

Why shouldn't he be subjected to the same scrutiny as other candidates on the subject of marital fidelity?

How is any of this "bashing"? McCain was hanging out for 9 MONTHS with Cindy, while he was still married to Carol. They spent weekends in a lodge together. What do you think they did there? How are the facts bashing? Is the Edwards scandal "bashing"?

By the way, I didn't even know about this till McCain started talking about his failed first marriage at the Saddleback forum and it was mentioned on CNN that he cheated.

Whatever occured between John and Cindy happened 29 years ago. His divorce from Carol was uncontested and finalized in 1980.

McCain fudged the divorce timeline in his book? So what? Clinton fudged when he said he didn't get a bj from Monika. Obama fudged when he said Jerusalem would remain an undivided city and the capital of Israel. They all fudge. Are some folks so desperate for dirt that they dig back 29 years? Lol. Jeeze Luweez. I don’t even care for McCain, but this is rediculous.

It seems that you've already take McCain's side in denying this, yet you pretend to argue that having an affair is no big deal. So how do you know that McCain only "fudged" the divorce timeline in his book? What is your basis for assuming that it's a mistake and not the truth?

You may consider extramarital affairs fudging but I guarantee you the American people do not. You think that the public's disapproval of extramarital affairs is "ridiculous" but your saying so is neither realistic, nor moral.

I wasn’t there so I don’t know what went down (no pun intended). As the LA Times pointed out, the timelines from official documents and what McCain wrote in his book are different. Clearly, someone was fudging the truth.

You should actually read what I write. I never said an extramarital affair was fudging. I said that distorting the divorce timeline was fudging.

Once again world, that is not what I said. Can you not read English? I said that digging in someone’s 29 year old personal closet is rediculous and it is.
