Iran booed at Olymics opening ceremony

Iran was booed at the Olympics opening ceremony. And the Mullahs of Iran are furious that an Iranian woman rower Homa Hosseini was chosen to be the flagbearer for Iran. The USA on the other hand was cheered loudly. When the Russians came out it was almost silent. Could have been due to the attack on Georgia.

The small Iraqi group was cheered loudly. I was glad to here that people greeted them so well. There was a video of Iran being booed on YouTube but it has been removed. That sucks, if anyone has a video of this please post it. I am thrilled to see that the world recognizes Iran for what they are, a terrorist state that deserves the worlds condemnation.

Err okay.... just some small problems here. I live in Europe, and saw it live on 3 different channels, and 3 different langauges.

Iran was not booed. They came out after Iraq, and Iraq got a huge cheer.. I would think that I would have noticed if the cheers turned to boos all of a sudden.

Russia got a big cheer also, as did the US.

Georgia on the other hand got no reaction, like most smaller nations.

In fact no one got "boos", and at worst there was no reaction from the crowds when a country came out.

Biggest cheers came for China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Yes, Iran got booed. I heard it also, very audible. Was a contrast cos they all cheered for Iraq (which nearly didn't make it). And it was the 1st boo I heard for any country at the Opening Ceremony so well, I just shrug it off. What do u expect? Iran isn't very popular with its nuclear stand.

Live...on three different channels? That means you saw it 3 different instances at the exact same time. I smell a lie.
