Is that the same idea that spawned this thread back in July? I didn't pay a whole lot of attention, but I thought the reference people were going ballistic about was to an organization as large and well funded as the military. If you're talking about the CAC...

That sounds like a pretty damned good idea to me. I'm actually surprised that we don't have this already. I think that a formalized government program to facilitate communication with various experts in times of crisis would be a great boon. I'm not so sure about the talk of deployment as it sounds like there would be overlap with such organizations as the National Guard, but I think a formal advisory board would provide a valuable and unique resource, provided it stays strictly civilian.

And no its a states issue, not a federal obligation to create another FEMA.

The CAC listed on his site sounds nothing like this. What makes you think they refer to the same entity? Sounds to me like you are indeed harping on about a single sentence he said months ago and never mentioned again
