No difference at all. I don't use police, firefighters and I went to a private school. I used none of those services. At all. My federal taxes go to paying for roads and bridges in parts of the country I have never been to.

Which is no different then the roads, police, firefighters and public schools I did not use.

Whoa, hang on just right there. Do you not need medicine? I certainly do.

In case you haven't noticed, these men are currently running for President. The results you posted are from the 110th Congress, let's see what the 109th turns up for McCain

Votes: 58 votes missed (9.0%), 587 votes cast

Actually, you do use those services.

Without your tax dollars, there'd be no police, there'd be chaos in the streets, and you'd stand a good chance of being victimized by roaming gangs.

Without your tax dollars, there'd be no firefighters, the fires would spread, and you'd stand a good chance of being nomadic out of necessity.

Without your tax dollars, there'd be no public schools to educate the masses to drive our country to achieve greater success, and push for higher education, by way of education, and establishing private schools as a way of refining education.

The roads you don't use, are the very roads that are used to bring goods into your community, the same goods you purchase in order to survive.

He also has a reason, which is similar to that of leading a presidential campaign

Thanks for this info. You're sweet to give me the background on him. I knew immediately who he was the minute I saw his name.

I am so grateful to see a sensible reply. The fact that some people don't see the difference between a civilized nation and socialism is pretty scary.

But if we apply that logic, without the welfare programs to the needy, we'd have large masses of rioting people causing destruction and violence along the way. Furthermore, without the medicines, we'd have epidemics of normally easily to cure and prevent diseases. Without the food stamps, we'd have higher rates of theft by people just trying to feed themselves and their families.

If we consistently applied that logic, the welfare, food stamps and medicine to the poor are vital to the survival, peace, and prosperity of our country.

Two can play this game.

Furthermore your argument failed to incorporate the key word "use." None of those services were actually used. All your argument relies upon is potential and indirect benefits. I did not USE any of those. While I clearly had some indirect benefits, your argument fails as no actual usage was done on my part.
