Our country is stronger because we allow people from all walks of life to participate in our government. There is no secret revolution. There is no way that Communism will take over our Constitution. It sure isn't the liberals that are assaulting it.

In a place where all we know about you comes from your speech, don't suprised that you are judged by what you speak. Freedom of speech is a double-edged sword. I think personally, In real life, I'm sure you don't act as leftist as you seem in general here.

Well, we are in a microcosm of people who feel passionately about the topics we discuss as evidenced by the fact that we spend part of our leisure time actually discussing the issues with virtual strangers. It only stands to reason that extremities would make themselves more pronounced and apparent just to keep the conflict interesting.

I highly doubt many people here believe the actual rhetoric they use to get their point across. I definitely don't use the hyperassertive language in real life that I use here sometimes.

I also find most of the people I meet to be vapid and unappreciative of a good conversation about ideas rather than what Brittainy did to the kids and how heavily drugged she was when she did it this week.

Wrong or no, I say leftist in place of liberal all the time simply because its easier. Ever since my little swimming accident, I cannot say my R's correctly. I've been able to remember on forums the difference "conservative or liberal and right or leftist". However, even I am subject to "writing the way I talk".

I'm of the belief that we can suggest our political affiliation and if we are honest and knowledgeable or if we are honest and our political views tend toward the extreme on every subject, only then can our political affiliations be accurately labeled by ourselves.

But I often find people who, for an example, call themselves conservative, but their posts suggest they are Conservatively Islamist rather than Conservative using the American standard.

And then there are some who just plainly attempt to deceive the readership by calling themselves Independent or Conservative.
