I think after Russia's aggressive Georgian episode and now aggression towards Poland for the missile shield issue... ppl will flock to vote for McCain as war and troops becomes yet another impt issue. McCain certainly beats Obama in this area having more war experience and knowing what to do in war situations.

Sometimes u can't have diplomacy esp against big bullies. My guess is more ppl will vote for McCain than Obama for mths to come.

Since the election is in Nov, it won't be that long now.

YOU KNOW. I remember not too long ago the Republicans INCLUDING McCain were saying a timetable for withdrawing U.S. troops would give the terrorists a heads up on how long they have to wait until the U.S. forces are gone*. But I guess in an election year contradictions in GOP Rhetoric aren't that big of a deal.

It's clear that the ONLY reason McCain is now supporting or even talking about an exit timetable is because 60%+ of the American people are in a disagreement of some sort with the war. But hey, it could just be because McCain genuinely believes Iraq is won. But I seriously doubt it.

What you're deliberately leaving out, like a good partisan bigot, is that you -also- understand that the situation then was different than it is now, the terrorist haveing been defeated, and that the defeat of the terrorists as well as stability in Iraq was stated, liteterally and implicityly by the "no timetable" crowd as pre-requisite for the withdrawl of troops.

Really? In what shape manner or form? The death rate from gunfire is at 20 a day. Above 2004 and 2003 levels. Same goes for deaths due to suicide but hey here are the graphs. I know you GOPers need visual help sometimes.
