For the record:


Being pro-death penalty and being pro-life is a consistent non-contradictory
position.

When a society extends the death penalty for murder, the the price of a life is given the highest possible value. If you take a life, you pay the highest price, by cashing in your own.

When a society gives 15-years to life for murder. The value that that society has put on one life is 15-to-life in jail. So a non-death penalty scenario, a human life could be worth as little as 15 years in jail.

Life is precious, whether it's the unborn, or somebody who was murdered; both need and should be defended IMO. Murderers have no regard for the value of their own life or the lives of others, yet they have a possession (their life) that should be treated as capital when they make the choice to "purchase" someone else's.

People who are pro-life and pro-death penalty are those who place the highest possible value on human life.

I'd like to take a moment to express how completely worthless I think the Libertarian movement has become, if I may.


You people (you know who you are), are so busy wringing your COLLECTIVE hands, day and night, waiting like some phony Paul Revere for the re-emergence of the Anglican church & tithe. So much so, that you seemingly completely over-look the very real ideological state that America is quickly becoming where all power is centralized and the decisions for the many are being made more and more by fewer and fewer.

I don't know if they are "coming around". I mean really, do you think for a moment that a Christian conservative would honestly either vote for a Democrat, or not vote at all? I think that they'll vote for McCain despite their personal views on his candidacy, simply because voting for the other option is much worse for them.

They may see eye to eye on abortion, and although McCain and Christian conservatives both oppose gay marriage, McCain will block a Constitutional Amendment. And that's where you'll see this alliance end in my opinion, should marriage equality still be in place in California come December. My guess is that if McCain wins the election and marriage equality is upheld in that state, you'll see Christian conservatives clamoring for a Constitutional Amendment. And I really think McCain will shoot it down, leading to a lot of pissed-off conservatives.

This is speculation, of course. Feel free to disagree.
