Re: Water-Powered Car Demonstrated in Japan
So people want to exchange one non renewable source with another one.. and one that's even rarer than oil in some parts of the world... and vital to human survival?
They should make a car that runs on sand not water. |

Re: Water-Powered Car Demonstrated in Japan
3/4 of the planet is filled with water. And they wanted something that has zero emissions as well, and totally bio-degradable. Water is one of the best fuels u can make use of.
If I recall correctly, there was an advert by Honda that boasts of this water car. I remember last part of the advert saying zero emissions and only steam or water is produced. Let me look for it. Ah there it is ... Honda Clarity : Honda rolls out zero-emissions fuel-cell Clarity |

Re: Water-Powered Car Demonstrated in Japan
Does not say what kind of water it uses. I suspect its not SALT water..
In fact it does not say anything about how the technology works. Is the water recycled into the atmosphere, or does it "poof".. If it poofs, then yes its not a renewable source. Listen, there is already huge clean and safe water shortages world wide, and people want to use it to fuel cars?! So what if there is no pollution, if we are all dead due to no water! |

Re: Water-Powered Car Demonstrated in Japan
I agree with Pete, water is not a good choice for a fuel source if it's consumed in the process. Water covers 3/4 of the Earth's surface, not 3/4 of the Earth's mass, and that layer is extremely thin in relative terms. Anyone who'se taken a college-level geology course knows this. We don't have an abundance of water on the planet, not to mention fresh water, and since water is central to life as we know it we really ought not be considering ways to consume it faster.
