I personally do not give the figurative excrement about what the left is always talking about. McCain is old, true though I'd have a hard time choosing between him and Obama actually (Hillary and McCain? Not so hard). And we can hardly call it dementia if he mistook a place name. I'd be willing to call it dementia if he'd told the same story the day before at another place and the location had changed during that time. I'd chalk this up to just the candidates being generally tired from the campaigning.

If he did it once I would agree with you but there is a pattern of him doing this......

The website for the 89th infantry division of WW2, which is the division that Obama's great uncle served in, has posted their comments on this: 89th Infantry Division of World War II: Introduction

Concerning the service of Mr. Charles Payne: C.T. Payne was a soldier in the 89th Infantry Division. He served in the 355th Infantry Regiment, Company K. The 355th Infantry Regiment was the unit to liberate Ohrdruf. Mr. Payne was there.

Some righties could not figure out who Obama's uncle was, because they where unsure of his middle initial, and so assumed he did not exist. They fired off an email to to the site owners of the 89th infantry site questioning all this. The website owners response:

What were you saying about a pattern of misstatements? Something about incompetence and lying, I think.

I did see this one and found it reminiscent of Hillary's Bosnia story. If the dumbass can't remember which concentration camp his dear ole uncle liberated, then he probably shouldn't be using that story for political grandstanding. He keeps it up and he is going to hand the nomination to Hillary. The one thing he had going for him in the beginning of this election was that he at least appeared genuine. The more he runs that mouth, the more he appears to be just like every other politician.

If they make a mistake or mis-speak, that's one thing. If they are just being disingenuous jackasses, that's a whole other ballgame.

McCain confuses Sunni and Shia while talking off the cuff. Forgiveable.

Obama says 57th state when he meant 47th state. Not even worth mentioning.

However:

Hillary talks about dodging sniper fire in a Bosnian airport which is completely untrue...not so forgettable.

Obama talks about his dear uncle liberating Auschwitz when the guy really liberated Buchenwald...yeah, ok. We all know happened there: he wanted to get buddy-buddy with the veterans so he tells a tail of his family member liberating a concentration camp...couldn't remember which one it was...so he says Auschwitz because its the one everyone recognizes. Disingenuous. Obama's just as big a liar as Hillary. McCain at least doesn't have to make up his war stories.
