Obama Calls Reporter "Sweetie"

Lets just look at the two candidates side by side. One of them is better looking, one of them in younger and more vibrant, one of them is a much better public speaker, one of them is prone to making ridiculous verbal gaffes, one of them is defending the failed policies of a failed administration. If you don't think it'd be a recap of Nixon and Kennedy, I'm curious for your comparison.

What about all those times McCain yelled at other senators on the senate floor? I seem to recall he used some pretty colorful language multiple times and these weren't incidents that were 30 years ago. Pot meet kettle.

Hey I am and old sailor and use some colorful language myself......I don't have a problem with it besides id you believe Dick Morris then I have heard that Hillary swears like a drunken sailor (ouch here I am putting sailors down again;)) and throws and F-bomb around all the time............

If McCain is wise he will steer clear of debates. Not that he is a retard but that his forte is not public speaking.

There is an old saying, "If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullshirt." I think BS will trump brilliance in today's tabloid society.

This is highly unlikely to happen. He will do poorly in debates against obama most likely, but I doubt McCain will self destruct with a temper tantrum during a debate.

Ok, so by your standards calling somebody sweetie shows a lack of morals and bad character. However, cursing at somebody on the senate floor is okay by you? AND to top it off, you think Hillary is more presidential (as you've said countless times in countless threads) but yet she possibly cusses like a drunken sailor.

Leiberman is the only democrat with any principles and conviction.......When the Iraq war started all the dems wanted to jump on board the bandwagon and the approval for going to war was at 80%........Now all the dems have pulled a cowardly Monday Morning QB and are all against the war except the only one with any courage to stand by his principles.......

He is a great American....

...except there are a number of democrats who opposed the war from the beginning. Just to name 3 not quite at random, there is myself, Carl Levin, and Barack Obama.

Since Obama was not in the Senate at the time the vote was taken no one knows how he would have voted for sure..........All we have is his word and that and a $5. bill will get you a cup of coffee at Starbucks........

He spoke out publicly. If you are trying to say that it only counts if you voted then you can't say that you are for the war. You didn't vote for it.

He wasn't one of the most junior Senators with a hammer on him by someone like Hillary to vote for the war........He can say anything but no one knows how he would have voted had he had senior senators on his ass........Edwards voted for it Hillary voted for it and we will never no what Obama might have done.............

He was very vocal about it. I don't see it hurting him currently as he is the presumptive nominee. You really are reaching to criticize this IMO. There were people that did vote against it. I have no doubt how he would have voted.

You have no sense of what Obama may or may not have done had he voted. I think I will believe him when he states he has been against the Iraq war from the beginning because there are many of us who will stand up for our convictions irrespective of familial, societal, relational, peer or superior pressures.
