Hm interesting.

Personally, I don't get the idea of destroying creationism. Just because a person doesn't believe the same way I do, doesn't mean I or anyone else should be "militant" about it. Simply put, I don't believe in a world were there is only atheism or theism, but rather a world where these ideas coexist and people are allowed to SHARE their beliefs rather than force them on to others.

Creationists do do a fine job of being skeptics. Science needs it skeptics to work.

I'm trying to remember, I think I heard somewhere that, some polls done by various groups, showed atheism and Christianity on a rather steady decline and paganism on a steady increase. It was several years ago and I don't have any documentation of course so, it doesn't even pass my own smell test, but it did get me thinking

"Militant Atheism" is pure hyperbole. Atheists fight using books, lecture circuits and talk shows. Dawkins can figuratively rip the arm off a creationist and beat them to death with it in a debate, but his only power is with words. I would like to see religion and faith disappear from the world, but first and foremost I respect the constitution. Logic and reason are the tools to use, not governmental policy or guns. If logic and reason don't work, then seek to coexist as much as possible.

Lemmie guess, you're trying to put atheism on par with militant islam so you've coined the phrase militant atheism?

Ok, sure as soon as you show me anyone shoving atheism's non-beliefs down everyone's throats or blow them up with a bomb strapped to their 72 virgins then you'll have a point. Otherwise this is rubbish.
