It's The Reaction Stupid!

A lot of people are trying to spin or downplay recents quotes from Obama, his wife, and Jerimiah Wright...

It's seems there are many defenders who believe these are situations where "poor choice of words" are used or a phrase was "badly written" or that's not what they "really meant"...

I do not accept these as true answers, and I'll tell you why...

If you ever go back to these phrases and comments from the Obamas and Wright, you'll notice something that nobody seems to notice...

The crowd response...

Many have been offended by recent comments across the landscape, but, as if by sheer irony and improbability, NO ONE in attendance immediately rejected the "poorly chosen words"!!!...

When Wright was yelling "God daaaaaamn America", there wasn't a gasp...There was admiration and exhuberation...When Michelle tells the crowd she's never been proud of America in her adult life, there was polite applause...When Obama tells how small-towns "cling to guns and religion", there was nobody saying "What?!?!?!"...

That tells you that whether or not Obama's words or Michelle's word or Wright's words were "poorly written" or not, one thing is clear...

The crowd ACCEPTED the words as truth...

If anyone thinks that what Obama said was condescending and arrogant, just think about the fact that he has many supporters who feel the exact same way...

I agree 100%. Anybody who so readily discounts the words of Wright, Michelle Obama, and Barrack himself are not only foolish, but incredibly irresponsible. We don't know much about this guy. The more insight we get, the worse he looks, yet so many die-hard supporters are ready to turn a blind eye to these remarks. It's insanity.

Please post "the entire context." I heard it (somebody posted it here a couple of weeks ago). Didn't really change anything.

Maybe they're not turning a blind eye at all. Maybe they actually agree with the remarks. Yes, imagine the insanity. People holding opinions completely alien to your own. It's unheard of.

Seriously, though, the OP makes some good points. The initial reaction to the remarks seemed to be rather positive. It's only when the media got a hold of the stories that those who hold opposing views came out in droves to counterbalance the initial approval from the Obama supporters.

If they agree than that's even scarier. Sucks when the smart *** remarks backfire.

It scary to you because you disagree with them. I'm sure it's all perfectly harmless and normal to them.

"God Damn America," "The US Government created aids to kill blacks," "I was never proud of America until Barrack ran for President." Oh yes, the average American sees this as harmless and normal.

I didn't say the average American. I was talking about the Obama supporters present at all those events. They obviously agreed or they would have reacted in some way. I read something earlier today about Hillary at one of her rallies mentioning once again how Obama's "bitter" remarks were offensive and some people in the audience reacted and loudly disagreed with her.

If they are so innocuous, why is the douchebag running away from them so fast and lying his butt off trying to spin his way out of them.
