John McCain's racist remark very troubling

In 200, John McCain was on record as saying, "I hated the gooks. I will hate them as long as I live." Does this horribly racist comment make you less likely to support John McCain?

In McCain's defense, gook is a word used by a lot of Vietnam vets. Some of my uncles take pride in saying it and even more in how many they killed. It's a stupid way to refer to the Vietnamese.

I for one am glad he uses it. First let me say im a liberal and am 85% likely not going to vote for McCain. However as a liberal... all of this political correctness crap really annoys me. McCain fought in Vietnam, everyone knows all Americans called Vietnamese Gook's in that era, and the fact is McCain grew up in that era.
