Survey USA, arguably the most accurate polling outfit this cycle, has put out two new electoral map predictions. Both show the Democrats winning. Now these maps don't mean too much this far out, but its fun to look at, and shows where each candidate needs to focus.



Obama pick ups: Nevada, New Mexico, Kansas (part), North Dakota, Iowa, Virginia

McCain pick ups: Pennsylvania, New Jersey



Clinton pick ups: Ohio, West Virginia, Florida, New Mexico, Arkansas

McCain pick ups: Washington, Oregon, Michigan, New Hampshire


I think the maps are interesting. Firstly, both show that McCain will have a very uphill fight to win in November. Secondly, it shows contrasts between the two candidates. Obama does better in the west and in traditionally "red staes", while Clinton is much better in the East and in "blue states". Thoughts?

What I find ironic is that Obama, who is clearly much more Liberal than Hillary, is picking up red states while losing blue ones. Something is fishy here.
