The Democrats are going to have to absolutely screw up to lose this election.

Lean: Independent Gender: Awards: | Re: SUSA Releases New Electoral Map Predictions I think McCain picks up Wisconsin myself. Although, as this poll indicates, he would stand a better chance to pick it up vs. Hilary than Obama. Bush almost picked it up in 2004, and this has been a traditional blue state that the dems could count on in the past. Milwaukees proximity to Chicago infects it with the low brow democratic voters, while Madison is comprised more of the educated elite liberal mindset. Obama picks up the race vote in Milwaukee, and the anti-war vote in Madison.

In the primaries there were over 622,000 democratic voters.
McCain only received 238,000 of the republican vote. The votes remaining from the total republican vote (of 471,000) going to Paul, Huckabee and Romney.

What I think is funny is that McCain thinks he can compete in California. I hope to God and all the saints that he starts pumping money into California. There is no way in hell California is going red for a very, very long time. The land of Reagan is not decidedly the land of Pelosi. |
