The Democratic Dream Ticket

The grassroots efforts have paid off with record number turnouts of democratic voters. The democratic party appears to be energized and united about getting their man or woman into office.

Is the on-going run to win the nomination going to damage this energy or is it going to enhance it? I don't know. I've been reading a lot about it and I honestly don't know.

Maybe it is time to look at a dream ticket. Let's see what the DP population has to say. See the choices and vote.

Can someone add my poll?

Obama/Clinton only or just forget my vote
Clinton/Obama only or just forget my vote
I'll vote for either......just give me my dream ticket

It doesn't really matter how it goes. McCain is toast.

Re: The Democratic Dream Ticket

Seriously, McCain is toast going from Rage against the machine to table scraps arse kisser - what a shame.
I would vote for either but I would preferentially like to see a Clinton/Obama ticket as I see the possibility for a 16 year democratic reign of the white house - but we'll see how it goes.

Most national polls have McCain within 6-12% of either Obama or Clinton. History shows that 6-12% swings within weeks occur in presidential polls. Gallup has McCain beating both.

Yeah...it must suck that we use the electoral college where both democrats have a 70 elector lead over McCain.

Re: The Democratic Dream Ticket

I suppose it's not impossible for McCain to win. But if Americans are dumb enough to elect a President openly running on a campaign of perpetual warfare in the wake of the Bush administration, well, ****, may they get just what they ask for and deserve.

Re: The Democratic Dream Ticket

One possible scenario that pleases me, is the Clinton/Obama ticket...with Powell as SOS. I honestly believe a combination of Hillary and Barak stands a good chance of repairing many of the issues this country faces domestically. And the combination of Bill Clintons skill and respect in world affairs, with Powells military intellect could make for a wicked form of diplomacy.
Added to this is the likely hood of a cabinet more encompassing of both parties, and a lesser Crony percentage in high office. There may be a chance to lessen the partisan political bottleneck we seem to have right now. I think a change in the dynamics of American Politics will take place in November regardless, as McCain seems destined to lose his own party support as the months go by. He is in a piss poor position, as he is somewhat liberal and conservative (yes, you can be both)in practice which upsets the remaining Neo-Con faction, But is running against people who actually do both better than he does. It seems his primary point of attraction is War Support, which is continuously waning as we approach the election.
