Re: The Democratic Dream Ticket
Personally, I've never seen this as the "dream ticket" (I'm not a big Hillary fan).
In my opinion, Hillary doesn't add much to the ticket with Obama as president. If he wants experience, I think he'd go out and get someone with some actual experience - Richardson, as an example. Especially after the way she's slammed him, I don't think he wants her on the ticket. The converse is true for that last point - after hitting him so hard, I don't think Obama is Hillary's ideal VP. At this point though - fighting for political survival - I'm sure she'd give him VP as part of a deal. But I doubt Obama would take it, and I think he'd overshadow the top of the ticket anyway. You don't want to run in an election where 5,000 people come to hear you speak, and 10,000 come to hear your running mate speak. |

Dont be silly. Hatuey interjected the electoral college into the debate about the upcoming presidential election. Quote:

as does Rasmussen Reports Quote:
Would seem that everything at this point, 7 months before the election, shows that at best it would be a photo finish with McCain winning the popular vote but one of the democrats taking the electoral college. A repeat of 2000s NARROW Bush victory. 7 months before the general election, Hatueys declaration that McCain is Toast is a little bit early. Thats why he exaggerated the results of his "Balance of Power Calculator" from 55 to 70. I suspect if he really thought McCain were toast, he wouldnt have felt the need to lie about the results. |

Re: The Democratic Dream Ticket
Well, Obama, if the nominee, won't be getting a whole lot of seniors. Or rednecks. I'm not saying he'll lose, but John McCain is a great candidate for the GOP, in my opinion (politically wise, not policy).
Adding Clinton would cut off the majority of white males, and while it might galvanize some women, not enough to be able to cut into a whole lot of states the GOP has held for a while. It takes away (drastically) from Obama's potential in quite a few states. Either way, by November, there are going to be quite a few people in certain area's who believe he wants massive slavery reperations, is a closet homosexual, smokes crack regularly, and shot a cop. It's gonna come down to how well he glavanizes certain groups, especially black (hope they show up) and young (I'll vote for him) voters. It'd be cool if the 30 and Youngers were as important as the 65 and Overs. And I think Clinton would rain on that parade a bit. Clinton really needs someone viewed favorably by a large portion of the country. Someone with Natl Seurity experience, preferably a vet, would be her best choice I think. Obama doesn't really bring a lot other than "hope," and can a VP do that behind someone viewed as polarizing as Clinton. Edwards wasn't. The only way I see this happening is if it really looks like the Convention would be ugly. Which is certainly a possibility. |

Re: The Democratic Dream Ticket
What part of Obama does not want to be VP do you not understand.............A week ago Hillary said over and over again that Obama was not qualified to be president.........Now she is willing for him to be her VP and he is qualified if anything happens to her to be president.....
Hey Hillary you are losing......You are getting your fat *** kicked......Quit grasping for straws......... |
