McCain vs Hillary/Obama

This is how it is going to come down in November.

It will be John McCain running against the combined forces of Hillary Clinton (President) and Barack Obama (Vice-President).

So, does McCain have what it takes to beat the Hillary/Obama ticket?

In your hypothetical does McCain not have a Vice-President?

Of coarse he'll have a Vice, but who that is is anyone's guess. The only thing I am sure of right now is that those will be the tickets.

Well McCain's choice of Vice-President would make a difference for me.

In your hypothetical I would vote Clinton/Obama over a Single McCain. I might vote for McCain/X over Clinton/Obama depending on who X was.

I don't think it will make a bit of difference.

Republican's are dead in the water this fall.

I voted for Clinton/Obama in your poll however, whomever of the two gets the nomination should not choose the other as VP IMO-and unrelated to the minor squabbling (which is just because they are so close in the race) thye are almost identical on the issues.

To win, if Hillary gets the nomination she should have Evan Bayh as her VP or even Bill Richardson.

If Obama gets the nomination he should choose a middle aged white guy from the south..maybe Edwards.

McCain's strategy should be to choose someone younger with energy that has absolutely no ties to the BuCheney administration, for his best chance.

That is the advice I would give each of them if I was their political advisor.

So what do you think of my advice-should they hire me?

I wouldn't be to sure. McCain can pull many moderate votes that would be required for Clinton and Obama to win.

I think it's still up in the air.
