Its not so much they want to please you. On non issues that wont be resolved by arguing they just want you to shut up and go away. You do have the power to aggravate or delay him in going about his business.
Its called picking the battles that matter and not fighting the ones that dont. Proper personal allocation of energy and resources.

Hopefully when it matters they will be heard.

Hillary is going to be the democratic nominee? Oh come on! No one can say that for sure. Obama is beating her in some states and only losing by small margins in other states.
