I never intended to suggest that the terms as written are murky--I do mean to suggest that there is almost certainly an unwritten (and probably little-spoken) understanding among all parties that the Fed will do whatever is necessary to keep the banks afloat--including changing the terms of existing loans if that becomes necessary.

And is this certainty some kind of gut feeling you had or are you actually basing it upon something in the real world that leads you to believe that regulations that have been followed dutifully in the past are now going to be disregarded?
