The answer is simple. It's pure jealousy. Jealous of what you might ask? Simple really. In how many states can a person do all these things in the same day :
Surfing :
Mountain Climbing :
Scuba Diving :
Sky Diving :
See chicks like this on a daily basis :
Obviously in some states you'd be able to do one or two things. Maybe even three but all 5? On the same day? On the same level as California? Highly unlikely. - Thats why people hate Cali. Cause we have it all. Haters.
Actually you left out a few - here're some key ones
For Rivvat since you're gonna be in SD - Mardi Gras at the Gaslamp quarters
All doable in the same day.
Not to mention another few worth mentioning key points.
Nearly all the climates in the world excluding tropical - alpine, desert, Mediterranean. An amazing coastline - some of the best wineries in the world.
The worlds fifth largest economy, except that CA is a state and not a nation; and the largest auto market in the US aka one of the largest auto markets in the world. A huge portion of fresh produce is grown in the valley and tax exempt at local super markets. Perhaps, second to NYC, the most diversified dining experience you could possibly find.
For the military guys, Vandenberg, Edwards, Pendleton, Miramar, Coronado - just to name a few.
Anything you can think of you can essentially find in here in CA.
But perhaps the one that really gets people most upset about CA may be
this.
It's virtually gorgeous sunshine 365 days of the year.
Oh yeah and there's also this.
In all the activities listed above
