Of course we don't have a runaway greenhouse effect, we aren't living on the planet venus. But where does the current trend show us going?

Of course we don't have a catastrophic effect on the planet, nor is the planet in peril. We are but a blip on the radar to this planet, and it'll survive us should we decide to kill ourselves. The planet is not in jeopardy, our capacity to thrive on it is.

People fail to realize it has nothing to do with the planet being in harms way. It has everything to do with us being able to sustain life as we know it and the ever growing demands of resources needed to sustain that life.

If the planet really isn't in harms way, then Perhaps Anderson Cooper should change the name of his series to "People In Peril."

Yes at this point, to challenge it, you probably have to go with "the greatest scam in history" in order to explain away its general acceptance.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence as they say.

This is probably one of the biggest failings of the environmental movement. They haven't been able to relate it to people's everyday concerns.

But maybe the fuzzy animals are easier to see than the lifetime of our grandchildren.

I do take a middle road approach to this. I don't discount the notion that GW is anthroprogenic, yet at the same time I don't discount the notion that man's contribution to GW is negligable and what we are seeing is part of the earth's natural cycle.

Middle road? Nothing but ignorance and self contradictory. On the one hand you claim not to deny that GW is anthropogenic - hence the current warming is attributed to human causes. Yet on the other hand you claim that this contribution is not major and is somehow negligible? How is it major enough that it causes warming yet not major enough that the warming is natural rather than anthropogenic. That's not middle ground, that's pandering to both sides and being wishy washy.
If you accept that AGW is real, than you accept the fact that it is human contribution that is causing the warming - as all the scientific facts point to. If you state that the warming is natural than you are in denial of all the facts or simply ignorant of all the facts.
