The site really is irrelevant unless you're saying that those quotes are made up? If you are please prove that. If you're not then the site that I cited is unimportant to this discussion.

I don't know if they're made up, his campaign claims he didn't write them and instead it was just someone who worked for him. Either way, the comments are some BS and can't be defended by anyone.

However, the site is not irrelevant. If it was a well known historical fact that Ron Paul was a racist, then the site wouldn't matter, but currently the story is not widely reported. When Tot posts stuff from frontpagemag as if it's the gospel, people give him sh!t because of his source. I guess one man's blogofascist is another man's truthwarrior.

Sorry but you're using a Straw Man argument. Please prove those quotes were not said by Paul that is the objective here. I can post 20 other sites that have the same quotes....

I am not claiming that he never wrote such things, what I wrote was the excuse his campaign used. If you're trying to get me to defend his comments, you better not hold your breath. All I'm trying to say is that some might find the source questionable just as you may find another poster's source questionable.

Paul has no such views. He condemns racism as "an ugly form of collectivism." Some people trot out racist statements Paul supposedly made in a newsletter, but Paul didn't write them, and he has disavowed them "quite believably, since the style diverges widely from his own."

If Paul were a racist, then his opponents should be able to drudge up something else from the rest of his career to demonstrate thusly, but they haven't done so.
