It was going on for years before the Iraq war.

Nor did excessive use of the military begin with Iraq.

After Vietnam plenty of people realized that we overuse our military in this country. We have a military industrial complex at work, and some people realize this. Since the cold war ended we have had no legitimate need for a large military establishment. Anybody with this position is well justified in opposing recruitment if they choose to voice it.

I don't recall liberals having any issues with the ways that Clinton used the military, but they were anti-military during that time.

Besides Vietnam and Iraq, when has this been going on?

It only happens when we use our forces for battles that aren't ours to fight, and can't be easily won fighting guerrillas, and wars that were initiated for faulty reasons. In other words, it only happens when it should happen. If we are using our forces in stupid counterproductive ways, then people should oppose recruitment at that time. Makes perfect sense.

These things aren't new. You already admitted that you weren't paying attention during the Clinton years.

I'm still waiting for an answer. Obviously you can't come up with anything because it hasn't happened notably in any other time in American history.

What?
Liberals've been banning military recruiters from college campuses for a long time. Where've you been? Asking me to provide a link is like asking me to provide a link to prove that GWB is POTUS. You didn't even know about Kathleen Willey or Juanita Broadrick.
