Countering Iran's Terrorism Initiatives
Perhaps one option would be to counter the Islamic takeover of Iran in 733. Western countries could send in groups of Missionaries to preach Zoroatrianism, the religion of Iran before 733.
The practice of Isalm in Iran incorporates some of the rituals from the Zoroastrianism Religion. The holy book, the GATHAS, could be provided by the missionaries. Missionaries to preach Zoroastrianism could be recruited from Western jails. Volunteers could receive reduced sentences for studying Farsi and volunteering to go preach the GATHAS. Zoroastrianism is similar to the Old Testament in the Holy Bible. I previously started a thread on Zoroastrianism under Religion. http://www.debatepolitics.com/religi...nst-islam.html State Sponsored illegal immigration is causing consternation in the US. Why not use unwelcome immigrants as part of a strategy against Iran's Islamic Militant government, which deposed Zoroastrianism? The West should oppose the Islamic Militant Regime of Iran by supoprting hte Religion of Zoroastrianism, in Iran. The missionaries could be given a Colt Peacemaker, 5 shot, 6 cylinder 45 Caliber Revolver. They would agree not to be considered hostages if put in jail, or otherwise detained. The objective is Peace. . |

Re: Countering Iran's Terrorism Initiatives
Asymetric attacks by Iran funding, training and supplying terrorists, justifies a psychotic response. There is no organized way for a Western government to even figure out a structure by which to recruit, train, equip and deploy Zoroastrian Missionaries. But Iran is effectively recruiting, training equiping and deploying Terrorists against the West.
I resemble the Clown remark, and find the concept of illegal immigrant missionaries humorous, myself. I accept your recogniton of the humor in the illegal missionary idea as a compliment. Should Zoroastrian missionaries be placed in Iran Communities in two's or three's? Mormons use a pair of missionaries. Zoroastrian tracts like the Watchtower pamphlets could be printed up for the missionaries to hand out. The missionaries could hand out tracts door to door, or phone for appointments. In additon, phone banks could be set up to phone Iranian family homes, to ask them to convert back to Zoroastrianism. Pamphlets can be mailed in plain wrappers. The goal could be to get more of the Zoroastrian rituals incorporated into Iranian Islamic practices. In addition to the NSA listening in to phone calls in Iran. The NSA could assist with setting up phone banks to call into Iranian communities to discuss Zoroastrian rituals. It would not take much manpower. Just record a few messages, and start calling at random and playing the recorded Farsi messages sequentially. Press 6 for English, if they want to talk to somone. Hey, Iran is driving the West Nuts. Drive the Iranains nuts back. Psychotic is the goal, and the means. . |

Re: Countering Iran's Terrorism Initiatives
Dear Billo Really,
I have seen that others use the avatar with the Fez hat. I just used a standard Avatar supplied by the DP forum. I did take the trouble to learn how to use other avatars from other web sources a few years ago, but I have not taken the trouble to get a more unique avatar for this forum. I do not happen to be PsycoClown. I think it is a rule violation to use more than one handle for posting. There were others using the Fez hat before me. But we seem to be on different threads, so I have not been too motivated to get a more unique Avatar. . |

Re: Countering Iran's Terrorism Initiatives
Why do you want to subvert their religion and cause civil war in their country again?
Cos they're driving you nuts? Have you noticed lately the different dispositions of forces in the world? Looking at the map one can see that in fact Western forces are in the region of the ME while ME forces are not in the region of the West. So who's driving who nuts again? |

Re: Countering Iran's Terrorism Initiatives
I think I have seen Shriners wearing that type of hat. The Masons date back to the Crusades and Knight Templars who had castles/Banks in the Middle East, along the road to the Holy Land. The Fez is a hat that was more recently used in Turkey or India, I think.
"The origins of the fez, or "tarboosh" in Moroccan, is not clear. The design may have come from ancient Greece or the Balkans. In the 19th Century it gained wide acceptance when the Ottoman rulers moved to modernize traditional costumes. The brimless hat did not get in the way of a Muslim's daily prayers and was cleaner and less cumbersome than the turban. The name fez is believed to come from Fez, the city, which once produced the hat's red dye, made from crimson berries. The hat has become very controversial in the Muslim world. In most Muslim regions it is considered the hat of the oppressors and wearing it is politically incorrect. Morocco however has resisted the onslaught against the fez (it is noteworthy that the Ottomans never actually controlled Morocco) and the king of Morocco is the only Arab leader to wear it. Wearing a fez in Morocco is a nationalist statement and was seen as a protest against the French occupation. So, like many hats, the fez is a charged symbol with a long and complicated history. In modern America, we associate the fez with the Shriners, Abu from Aladdin, or Akbar and Jeff of the "Life Is Hell" comic strip. " Info from TheVillageHatShop Search Fez The Ottoman Empire, including Iraq, apparently sees the Fez as a symbol of occupiers. How appropriate the Fez turns out to be for Westerners. . |
