Canidate of the Week: Hilliary Clinton Democrat of New York

Im going to post a discussion thread every Sunday that will focus solely on one candidate until we get through all of them. Im sure we can be civil about this but I doubt it.

Political positions of Hillary Rodham Clinton - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Fiscal Policy

Not much of a fan of that, sounds too socialist for my taste

Energy Policy

Sounds alright so far

Free-Market

Kind of cautious on this one. I enjoy the free market with some regulation in order to protect the consumer and worker but what she says worries me abit

Trade

I believe in leveling the playing field against Communist China by implementing higher Tariffs but not that excessive

Universal Health Care

I have never agreed on the idea of universal health care because it just creates more buearcracy

Arab-Israeli

So far so good

Homeland Secuirty

Sounds decent

Humanitarian Aid abroad

Meh

Immigration

She is targeting the business who make the problem worse which is a good thing but the path to citizenship is nothing but amnesty BS

Interventionism, Iran and Iraq

She is a hawk but a cautious hawk which is good

UN

The idea of the UN is a good thing but the UN as a whole is a joke unless there are drastic changes made

Anti-Terror and Surveillance

The NSA warntless surveillance is a slap in the face to the Constitution, we can fight terrorism without giving the powerful more power

Habeas Corpus

See above

Flag burning

I personally dont like flag burning but its a form a protest and free speech. She is wrong about barring that.

Gun control

Dead wrong. Im a pistol owner myself and I dont want to be without my weapons if their is a disaster.

Abortion

90% on the ball. I have always believed in the woman's right to choose but the partial birth has always digusted me personally. If its that late in the pregnancy the woman should just put the baby up for adoption

Crime

Treatment should be available for those who actually want to break their habit but I think its less than half of people actually want to break the habit. I personally support decriminalization of pot for adults. Drug dealers should be punished serverly IMO. I personally believe in three strikes

Death penalty

100% right on this one

Education

Ive read that No Child Left Behind just treats kids like their on an assembly line and rather just get them through school than rather teach them anything. Public schools should get funding based on performance IMO. School Vouchers are stupid. Its Private School for a reason if the parents want to send their kid to a private school, take out a loan from the bank.

LGBT social movements

I personally dont support any discrimination of any kind because someone is gay or lesbian.

Islam

dont care what religion you are just leave me the hell alone

Prayer in public schools

Pandora's box IMO I could care less if a kid wants to prayer during lunch or study hall. But a teacher teaching religious doctrine in a PUBLIC SCHOOL is BS. Its up to the parents to decide if they want their kid learn religion not the state

Stem cell research

Potential Cures, go for it

Internet Neutrality

Equal internet for everybody!!!

Video games

This one pisses me the hell off. Hillary has time and time again joined the Right on their crusade against Mario. Video game companies arent at fault its the parents. This probably one of the few times you will see liberals and conservatives working together.

Oh the video game bull****.
Look if your kid is so fracking stupid that s/he can not separate video game from reality, they were prone to begin with and it's the parents fault for not having brought up their kid any better or for making that initial purchase.
These "parent groups" need to learn a thing a two themselves. The other day I was at costco and saw paper mario game for the Wii counsul. It stated "Mild cartoon violence" just what the hell is mild cartoon violence? Stomping on a mushroom with eyes and teeth? Yeah we have a lot of that in reality
These parent groups need to learn what the meaning of the word responsibility means. You don't like what your kid is playing? Don't buy it, too late already bought it? Hey return the thing.

Not to spend too much time on the video game aspect, but from a teen's perspective, whats better playing a game that emulates violence, or going out and performing that violence due to boredom... God bless suburban living. Restricting video games will probably spark young gang participation and then all the adults will ponder epidemic and never find the solution, like always!
