"An anti-abortion group is working on an initiative that it hopes will eventually ban all abortions in Colorado.
The ballot, planned for November 2008, will ask voters to define human life as beginning at conception.....
The proposed ballot language would state that "the terms 'person' or 'persons' shall include any human being from the moment of fertilization."....
There are similar measures taking shape in Alabama, Georgia and Mississippi, said Carrie Gordon Earll, a spokeswoman with the Colorado Springs- based group.
She added that amending the U.S. Constitution has been a goal of abortion-rights opponents since 1973.
"The state efforts are just a different tactic to that strategy," she said. "It's a fresh and novel approach to the issue." "

This sounds highly unlikely to succeed.
I don't think it's worth wasting energy on; it'll fizzle.

With Focus on the Family willing to chip their millions of $ to support it, we can't take it too lightly. |

They're currently in no position to finance something of this scope.
All wi' be well, all wi' be well, and all manner o' things wi' be well.
Trust me, this is going nowhere. |

The state is way to far removed from the Bible Belt (I think like 30% of the state calls itself agnostic), for this to have any chance at all of passing.

As we have seen recently it is these same characters who scream values and morals that are the ones whom are pedophiles as well as customers to prostitutes - not to mention paying for blowjobs from gay hookers.
All these morons need to get their heads out of their arses. |

Have you considered a literary campaign to relate the onset of remorse to a claim for rights?
At this time, there is a common law argument (RoeVWade) that birth is required for personage, citizenry, and due process rights.
The RoeVWade argument ignores an essential element most feel forced to ignore. Does it matter to the fetus?
Science and reason are on the choice side and consistent with birth in the common law argument for citizenry.
That is, forwarding your cause is possible in other ways.
Many are content to discuss how they feel about how they feel about a particular position.
This may force them to face accusions of egregious ignorance.
Why don't you help them and yourself? |
