I find no problem with that statement. "White Guys" fill the vast majority of our government so since when is that a problem? A black or female president will meet with much more resistance from every direction not only from here in the good ol' USA but in other countries as well. Keep in mind some countries still see women as... you fill in the blank. So if Bobby said it, it must be taken in the proper text. Don't forget what that was said when Tiger Woods won the British Open not long ago. So all you folks that think we have "arrived" shut up and look around you. Women and people of color are till minorities in this country and don't forget it. If you do they will be the first to remind you.

Read the article, or my post please, Novak did not say that, the writer of the piece fabricated the statement and inaccurately attributed it to Novak to make his point.

What exactly is Novak saying here then? This is how I read it: Repubs are scared bcuz the Dems have the advantage, since the Dems have the advantage they're going to try and run a woman or a black guy. Since the Dems are going to run with these two candidates, it gives republicans hope that Americans will vote republican instead of voting for a woman or black guy.

Why did you and the writer of the piece BOTH have to rephrase and restate his statement before you could attack it ? Restating someone's argument in a flawed manner and then attacking your revised version is called Strawmanning.

There's been a lot of talk about "white male Christians" losing their majority status, race baiting that pits blacks against whites, the need for a woman/black president etc. So I have a proposal. For one month, let's all stop using all the stuff that Caucasian European and American men invented and developed, and see what the world would be like. This is what it would be like: No cars, no petroleum (it's all American technology that gets it), no electricity, no television, no radio, no computers, no food abundance, no airliners, no telephones, no steel, no plastics, no bridges, no skyscrapers, no mechanization to produce material plenty, no medical advances, no elevated standard of living etc. The world would revert to prehistory.
