It's well known just not made a big deal of. There are sources all over the net that discuss Bush's ranch. It's very eco-friendly and while he gets little mainstream media praise for it many enviornmental journals and smaller sources have written alot on it.

Here's a mainstream article:

I find it quite ironic that, while Bush seems to practice conservation in his personal life, he would, at the same time, gut the EPA and conservationist measures as he has done.

The Liberals never had the market cornered on conservation, as the Goldwaterites were big on conservation, Nixon created the EPA, and most Conservatives 40 years ago embraced conservation. However, some today might even call Goldwater and Nixon Liberal tree huggers, as they themselves choose to keep there heads buried in the sand.

Seriously though, he IS being listened to, and that is important. Although he would never be my choice for president, global warming IS important, and Gore's input on this has been helpful in getting that message across. Call Gore what you want, but 2 Oscars don't mean that nobody is listening.
Oscars aren't worth the crap they use to make them.......A liberal like Gore getting an Oscar from liberal Hollywierd isn't saying a whole lot......All you have to do is make a phony movie using junk science to base it on, then bash Bush a couple of times and youre a sure win.......

That's right. Look at Michael Moore.

Why must you post untruthful posts? The only people who believe that Gore said he invented the Internet are ticked off Conservatives who want to believe he said it so they can use it to attack him...well the truth is not what you're claiming it is and it is boring to read that you actually are spreading more propaganda!

2) A lot of the power at the Gore home comes from solar panels. Drudge failed to mention that too, didn't he?

3) Finally, Gore purchases offsets, another thing Drudge did not mention.

Sorry, Swiftboaters. There is nothing there for you. Think about what you are going to whine about next.

Article is here.
Maddox said it best:

Of course, having a show in which the hosts prattle on and on about conservation and environmental causes, it makes you wonder how they're able to do it without sounding like giant hypocrites as they fly around on helicopters and jets, all while using enough electricity to power a small city. Simply put: they can't, but that doesn't stop them from trying.

The way they try to avoid this nagging ideological contradiction is by stating: "Trippin' has offset all the pollution created from energy use in making the show, to ensure that it would not contribute to global warming." They supposedly do this by buying "clean air credits." Great idea *******s, so instead of owning up to your ****ty ideals and not polluting, you pay someone else not to pollute. Maybe we should all try to pay someone off every time we want to do something that might inconvenience us. I was going to go on a diet, but it's too hard, so I'm going to pay someone else to diet for me. I was going to do a show about community service, but doing the actual work was too inconvenient, so I'm going to pay someone to do it for me. Eat **** you elitist morons.
