I thought those who frequent the economics section could post links to economics texts they feel are have really shaped their way of thinking.

I'll start with this great little work, The State by Franz Oppenheimer.

It is an excellent work that basically sum up Oppenheimers sociological and economic thinking.
He details the difference between political and economic means of gaining wealth and how the state developed.
It has influenced many people from anarchists and libertarian socialists to Albert.J.Nock and Murray Rothbard.

In fact it is a book that many of the current descendents of the american style libertarian movment Rothbard pioneered would do well to read.

Although I admit I haven't read all of it, Henry George's Progress and Poverty has made a tremendous impact on my economic views.
