One the funny side of things I suppose Conservatism and humour/ satire dont really go together. Why? because satire for example, exists to put light on muckiness and lies of the powerful, to hold up to mockery the follies of the powerful and expose the hypocrisy in a way that entertains us. However, you cant be subversive and want to preserve the status quo.

Even jokes aimed at themselves dont work. Anyone see the trailer for the 'Half Hour News Hour' on Fox? There's RL and Ann Coulter as Pres and Vice Pres. "Stay tuned for the Half Hour News Hour" says RL, to which AC adds "if you dont we'll invade your countries, kill your leaders and convert you to Christianity."
Its a joke, get it? But its not satire, instead it comes off as a smug conviction of your own rightness so bulletproof that you can joke about it with a swagger.

I suppose in the end whatever side you're sending up for ridicule, satire begins with an unwillingness to accept lies and bombast from those in power. Problem is, thats not in Fox's remit.

Actually I appreciate the smooth transition the fox news channel went from beating the war drums pre Iraq war and during the first few years of the occupation or "the neocons glory years", to becoming the TV version of the "enquier" and "star" tabloids. What has happened to the neocons mouthpiece, o reilly, hannity ? Good bye Ralph Peters and hello "body language expert" Tonya Reiman on the o'reilly factor. What a riot, o reilly will do anything not to talk about Iraq. Although they sur use dennis miller a lot. Since when has he been a political and foreign policy pundits?! Did I say "pundit"? Sorry I meant "peanut". Although no one can uderstand what he says anyway, he is so smart and funny! at least that's what hannity and o reilly seem to think. The fox news channel has been lucky to have terry schiavo, natalee holloway, anna nicol smith, britney spear with hair or no hair. Yep, good bye to the Iraq war, where real people die and hello to the "war on christmas" where no one die, that will help the warmongers at the fox news to help its viewers to focus on the "real issues" America faces, "the secular progressives"

One of the reasons liberal radio has never succeed against conservative is precisely because of what you demonstrate. The left is to bent on trying to find some derogatory means to explain the success of conservative political discussion on a nationwide basis that they can't see the true reality.

Hey keep it up, not only is it sophomoric, it keeps liberal radio from being successful as it trys to copy it's fallacious picture of conservative talk.

Really, i don't see how having a controlling political voice via radio is very relevant in a day and age where internet rules the roost for nearly everything-including news and political view points.

Are you an expert? Never claimed I was. I simply cut it as I see it. As less and less people listen to talk radio, and more and more people turn to the internet. you can witness this stuff in your every day life, you don't really need to be an expert to see the huge impact internet has on media and politics-look at how, CNN for example, turns to blogs for opinions on its shows.

and according to right wing propaganda, the left owns television so that I take is non dispute.
