WASHINGTON (AP) -- Comedian Al Franken has reached out to Democratic lawmakers from Minnesota in recent days, seeking advice on a possible Senate run against Republican Sen. Norm Coleman next year.

Franken, a veteran of "Saturday Night Live" and radio show host, told The Associated Press on Wednesday that he's called all of the Democrats in the delegation.

"I didn't call Coleman," he deadpanned. "I want to mainly touch base and get advice and counsel on certain issues."...

Franken isn't electable. If the Democrats want to win back that Senate seat in 2008, they'll nominate a serious candidate.

Franken wrote a book about someone he hates. So?

After failing at Limbaugh's profession, Franken is now running for office. What has that got to do with Limbaugh. To Limbaugh, Franken is a pimple on his butt. Nothing more.

I believe the point is that the someone that Franken hates is Limbaugh. I think the gloating that would happen if Franken won is based on Limbaugh's mutual hate for Franken. I was trying to point out the dots you're supposed to connect.
