I have to admit I haven't listened to (mainly becasue it's not on the air here anymore) or watched O' Reilly for some time now. When he was on the air I heard him go to bat for Democrats and even Kerry when the Swift Vote Veterans attacked his record. He condemned the act, and as far as I can tell the only other person who cared to speak out was John McCain who I respect even though he is a Republican.

Maybe O' Reilly was good at feigning objectivity, but he never once stated he was a conservative or Republican. Hell, Micheal Savage is a nut and an independent, but he doesn't hide the fact he's a conservative independent. Likewise, Ed Schultz has turned into the Limbaugh of the left as far as I'm concerned. He blames Republicans for everything, and you will never hear a criticism from him about Clinton. So maybe the 2 talking heads I had a respect for have turned to the darkside. Who knows?

Funny how you didn't apply that to any of the demagogue liberal talking heads such as Franken, Randi Rhoads, Ed Schultz and Michael Moore. Likewise, I seriously doubt you were railing against Clinton and his administration when he was bombing Baghdad in '98, or when we went into Yugoslavia or Somalia where we the US military killed thousands--in self defense of our own of course.

I'm sure you had no problem with Clinton giving no bid contracts to Haliburton in the Balkans right? Then again you are a staunch partisan so I wouldn't expect anything less.

Moreover, there is a relatively small number of conservatives at national and local news organizations. Just 7% of national news people and 12% of local journalists describe themselves as conservatives, compared with a third of all Americans.

the question was about Hannity and O'Reilly. It was not about Air America.

I Do have hard time with shultz but, he is certainly much more honest than any of the Right winger proganda Parrots. Hannity and O'Reilly tell only as much of the truth, along with inuendos and lies, that it takes to deceive America.

Well he doesn't. He is stating HIS opinion and his discussion of issues in based on HIS opinion not any "objective" opinion. He comes across as more a libertarian than anything, more conservative than liberal for sure. But clearly his show is THE ORIELLY FACTOR it is not meant to be an objective news show nor does it pretend to be one. Now he does balance HIS opinion with opposing opinions, hence the balance.


Such as the talking heads on Air America, or Chris Matthews on MSNBC or Tim Russert on Meet the Press. All are liberals and thier interviewing and commentary comes across from that stand point.


A Limbaugh wannbe and that is the problem with liberal radio it can't find it's own voice and thinks it can just copy the right. Schultz doesn't even do a good imitiation. His imitation is what the left thinks about Limbaugh and as usual they get it wrong.

I point out that his own web sites Bio lists him as a reporter. Now you seem to be saying he sells a bunch of crap on that web site. Not sure I'm able to get your argument. So because he sells stuff it doesn't matter what he calls himself?
