I just don't want to see any "non-peaceful" outcomes to this. If Bush does something to aid that, it may help remove my "deep seated hatred."

Sorry buddy, but there's no Oil to be gotten in China OR Taiwan.
Oops there's that deep seated hatred again. |

Oops there's that deep seated hatred again. | You so typically refused to answer the question. By which I presume you feel for Taiwan to be Red is better than being dead? Many people in Taiwan don't agree.
There was a politician who espoused such views before. His name was Neville Chamberlain. Gee, I wonder what became of him? |

I'm so tired of seeing the world played out like a freaking Risk board.
You don't think there's anyway a half decent president could go over there... maybe start with a chat?
Chamberlain made the mistake of appeasement. Appeasment and pascifism are not the same thing. |

China demands before any Taiwanese President talks to China's leaders that Taiwan accept China's interpretation of the notion of One China, meaning that Taiwan is a part of China. Well, there is no way that President Chen is going to do that and China knows it. Taiwan is not a part of China. Should Taiwan surrender its freedoms and sacrifice its sovereignty to preserve your value of peace and love of everyone? If the free countries of the world had done that in the 1930s and through the Cold War, the world would be a far different place today than it is now, and NOT for the better. |

What question are you refering to? I don't recall one that I didn't respond to. If I'm missing something, I am sorry. |

I asked you that question several posts ago and you have constantly danced around it.
As for the President at his Crawford Ranch, I know you libs can't admit this, but in the modern age of communications, President Bush is every bit as much the president and in contact with the rest of the world at Crawford as he is in Washington. |

There is a peaceful solution to this. It would take patience and it would require not being barbarians about this.
"Would Taiwan becoming enslaved to Communist China peacefully be better in your book than a non-peaceful defense of the liberties and freedoms on this island country?"
That question leads one to think that there is no other solution.
Us "libs" that get angry about bush staying in crawford just think that maybe, just maybe, shaking the mans hand and talking with him face to face would show just a little more concern than a video conference with horses in the background.
The FIRST thing that would have to be done is F***ing FRANCE SELLING WEAPONS TO--
...
I'm cool.
First we have to get allies. Allies that won't sell weapons to a communist country that wishes to forcefully annex a democratic country.
There are peaceful solutions to these problems, but I'm afraid peace is much harder, whereas to war all you do is pull a trigger. Peace will be longer lasting if you if you attain it peacefully. |
