Lean: | Bias: Who cares? I have just come to relize something. What does it matter, if a news place is bias. We all know which news stations are bias, and towards whom. So, we can all make our own choices of what to watch. We have already formed opinions about issues, and nothing that people like Chirs Mattews says will change anything about it. People suggest that if people watch a bias network, it will promote extremism. So, if you are a liberal I suggest that you watch liberal channels 70% of the time and Fox News 30% of the time. This way you will get to see the news the way you like it, but you will also get to hear the other side of the story. Every story has two sides to it, the right and left.
One might ask, what about kids that watch a bias station and are impressionable? First off, kids don't watch the news. Second off, if kids watch the news it will most likely be what there parents watch. And kids most off the time are impressed by their parents and have the same view as them anyways. So it doesn't matter.
I think news channels should just straight up admit that they are biased because people already know. But this way people can be proud to support their stations. Think about it: CBS News: Proud supporters of Howard Dean
Fox News: TV for the Conservative American
CNN: F*** You Right Wingers
It would be great! |

| They aren't just biased, they have become propaganda machines for the left. I get tired of people lying and distorting what Republicans say and do. I get tired of the constant Bashing of our Country and our President. I get tired of a whining bunch of liberal snobs in the main stream media making up stories to fit their agenda. I want to know when I listen to the "news" it isn't something fabricated to make our President look bad. I want to turn on a radio channel without hearing some nut case screaming "shut up, Bitch" just because they don't like republicans. Right wingers do some of this too, but most of it comes from the left. |

Lean: | Re: Bias: Who cares? News is biased because it's run by people that are biased. Unless we want robots giving us our news, we will have to live with some form of bias in our news, whether liberal or conservative. |

On Location at the Los Angeles Book Fair
[To Al Franken]: "Hey, shut up! You had your 35 minutes! Shut up!"
—June 1, 2003
He told a guest to shutup after some very heated debate and no quite so "logical" arguments coming from the left. Source
Limbaugh is entertainment. It is interesting how the "left" realizes that Al Franken is entertainment, but cannot see the light when it is reversed. at least most of them make logical arguments
Saying most libs make logical arguments is like saying most cons make logical arguments. Somehow, I believe you would disagree with the latter. This is an opinion that cannot be proven and illogical in itself. |

Lean: Independent Gender: Awards: | Re: Bias: Who cares? The big problem with a bias in the news is that it because more opinion than news. News is vital to a healthy government and should be one of the balances to keep it in check. Having to constantly separate the wheat from the chaff creates a confused populace. If I hear incredulous news from one source that I know has a strong bias like WorldNetDaily or Air America, I take that info with a grain of salt until I can verify its accuracy. (Case in point, there's a thread out here where it was saying that Russia moved the WMDs from Iraq to Syria, more investigation found that to be completely unfounded info). I would love it if the news organizations had some onus to the facts first and ratings second. You turn on most TV news and you're going to see a left side bias, you turn on most radio news and you're going to hear a right side bias. The thing is, we have to make sure that our filters are on and that we try and remove any bias from our filters. I get news from sources whose slants I disagree with all the time because I don't want to be spoonfed and start believing everything that's coming my way. |

how bout oreilly telling guest to shut up, you like that?
| I said both sides do it, however O’Reilly didn’t scream and cuss at the guest who was trying to filibuster his show. Quote: |
how bout limbaugh calling liberals idiots who know nothing when in fact, at least most of them make logical arguments.
| An idiot doesn’t make a logical argument and deserves the name. From what I have heard Mr. Limbaugh is very polite to the liberals that call, if they make valid points. Quote: |
how bout we don't take things at face value that is said by government.
| I never do, but how about you when Democrats were in power? Quote: |
how bout we be responsible citizens and question the actions, because you know what we call a place iwth no dissent and questioning? A DICTATORSHIP, but hey, you would love that with bush in charge.
| How about I just ignore this one, and forget you made a stupid comment. We all do it once in a while. Quote: |
how bout fox not being a conduit for everything that comes out of the bush administration by just repeating and not doing any investigative reporting.
| If you actually watched Fox News, instead of believing the Liberal propaganda about it, you might learn something. Right, how about that! |
