This game was not that good compared to other games i have mentioned, but it had a wacky magic system that originates from the older real candle magic of this world. this is a bit of a left handed path, in that it affects the subconscious of us and the universe through 'symbolism.'
So, we get a little 'bag.' in this pouch, we stick the right sort of herbs and smelling things. i remember for dungeons and dragons to throw a fireball you need bat poop among all things, but let's keep it to herbs? i suppose a substitute for bat poop would be a flea or other parasite, dead or alive, yes?
Anyways, after you get the right components into the pouch, you need to tap it a few times with a 'wand or stick.' i suppose it would be better to make the wand yourself out of wood. to make the mixing better,l you could stir the pouch like a spoon, in a clockwise or anticlockwise direction, i am not sure, except that good magic would come from clockwise rotation, and harmful things would come from anti clockwise rotations, of course.
As well as putting herbs into the bag, you could also put colored wooden shapes into the pouch. remembering opposites attract, you could use conductor, like a iron wand? this would, in my theory, mix the ingredients better, as with the force of repulsion it would not mix, so a wooden spoon and shapes would not do it. a metal wand is what you need! this is because metal is a conductor and wood is not, they both burn but one is genetic and the other not.
So, we have shapes, colors and herbs. anything that gets eaten could be put into the bag, as then it gives off a odor vibe which the gaseous faeries react to. this would be controlling gas faeries, of course.
To attract liquid faeries, you could use 'wooden' vials of liquids too! to mix solid spells, you need to use clay and other easily soluble 'ground things.' soon i will explain the difference between these and other types of matter and how they affect the spells.
