Is anyone playing Star Citizen/Elite: Dangerous?

AS I understand it, they are two different games. Star Citizen is from the guy who did Wing Commander(which was one of the best ever game series), and is still a ways from being released(next year). Elite Dangerous is a sequel to Elite(which was awesome). It has been released to pretty decent reviews.

I play elite dangerous, I'm pretty new to it though, so haven't really seen the true scale of the game. From what I've seen so far, it's mind bogglingly vast, new systems are being discovered every day, and new settlers/stations are built by the community and grow in population according to player actions (trade etc)

Maybe, but Chris Roberts ain't Peter Molyneux. Roberts has already delivered more on Star Citizen than Molyneux did with Fable.

A very small section is. Roberts intends to roll it out this way. The space station and dock is playable now, and I guess space combat will be in about 9 months. I'm not sure what there is to do in the dock, it talks about customizing ships, but you can't fly them, so I'm not sure the fun of it.

My bad, I confused the two as variants of the same game. Thanks for the vid, that explained the differences well.
Both look really interesting to me, but I have a feeling I'm going to wish I could combine the best elements of each in one game... heh, maybe next gen...
