Apple iPhone 6; poo poo?

I think it's like trying to get a coat hanger to go straight again, there's always a kink in the metal. But hey, the thing is a huge success anyway and has sold over 40 million units.

I see. Thanks. Yes, people just love Apple. As for me, I'm too frugal to spring for Apple products. But I have a bit of Apple stock, so I'm happy. :)

I have a Galaxy. Two day battery, twice as many functions, faster, less clunky, no fear when downloading updates, multi tasks, exchangeable memory cards...I could go on...but there's no need. I carried an iPhone at my last job because it was required. I nick named it the iDon't.

Apple has gotten to be like that popular, flashy Nike sneaker all the kids wanted, when Adidas was making the ultimate running shoe.

I kept trying to build my own PC's with the ultimate graphics cards, though I don't game with them anymore. They kept burning up my power supplies and mobo's, because they run so hot. I finally figured, I could get more than enough functionality from a lesser card that ran much cooler and extended the life of my system.

Or buy a bigger fan. :)

I know some gamers will modify the server to add a couple of fans.

I'm always amazed at people who bought stock early in companies that became giants. Imagine having just $10k worth of Microsoft shares back before 1994? I'd buy my own island.

Dude, I'd have a dozen fans and water coolers running and they'd still die in a couple years. Those monster cards are just a nightmare with the size, noise and heat. I've got a GeForce GT440 and it's more than enough for my needs without all the problems.

It's basically the 6 Plus that is the target of the bending, not the 6. There are other phones that suffer from this malady, to either similar or lesser extent. Some suggest this was also a testing problem, as machines ordinarily used for testing a unit's durability did not apply pressure at the specific point at which the iPhone 6+ bends. Apple deserved the criticism it received for the bending problems. At a certain point, Apple's passion for sleek designs comes at too great a cost (and I don't mean your pocketbook).

They finally increased their camera pixels and screen size, but still lag with speakers and battery life? Why people fall for overpriced products because of marketing and brand name is criminally stupid.

I've got a brother-in-law that won't buy but certain name tools for certain functions. Like Dewalt for his drills, etc, but doesn't consider the alternatives. We were using an older Milwaukee hammer drill on some concrete anchors, and it was taking forever to drill the floor. I told him this has got to change and he insisted the old drill was the best named brand. I said **** this, and went to buy a new Makita, came back and drilled the cement ten times faster. He looked stupefied, and I was pissed we wasted all that time and effort on some junky piece of crap because of brand.

Heh. I like to be fluid myself, but on certain things, it just becomes a matter of principle. I will never willingly buy anything from Bose or contribute to the Beats band. With some things, a long-standing history of quality versus a long-standing history of ****e sways me one direction or the other. ;)

Oh, I agree sometimes brand is key. I bought Zenith TV's and Seiko watches for 25 yrs and was never sorry. Had Sony, Pioneer and JVC stereo equipment, Adidas, K-Swiss and New Balance sneakers, Wrangler and Levi's jeans, but it doesn't mean they're unchangeable or always up for scrutiny. I used to buy McDonald's, Burger King and Wendy's burgers but no more, they've turned to poo. Some companies just don't stick with the quality that got them their initial success, and some step their game up.
