Kingdome Come Deliverance is probably one of the most awsome games that is currently being developed. An open world MMO it takes the step of refusing to include things such as Dragons, Magic, Elves and whatever, but is set during an actual historic time period during actual Czech history:
The studio which developes this game is "Warhorse", a new studio founded in Prag by an ambitious developer who wanted to develope this kind of game. The problem he faced was that he couldnt fins a publisher for the game and only view investors. Mainly because people thought that nobody would play an open world game that is more of a history lesson without any fantasy stuff in it.
To prove them wrong or themselves wrong the developer started a crowdfunding project asking the community following it for funds so the game could be further developed and published:
They asked for a more or less humble 300 000 punds, but have by now gathered 1 106 371 pounds thereby showing clearly that there is an active interest in a historicaly accurate medieval open world mmo.

The developers have been incredibly open with what they are doing, regulary uploading videos on their youtube account and posting on the blogs:
I love it. And am very much looking forward to it`s release.

The aristocracy is divided between which side to support. Civil war is coming...
